The QuickClick Canada Privacy Policy
As your financial needs provider, QuickClick is committed to safeguarding the individual privacy rights of all of its customers. QuickClick strongly believes that it has a responsibility to protect your personal information from disclosure to any unauthorized parties. This policy applies to each and every customer. Therefore, QuickClick has adopted and implemented this privacy policy to protect your account and your personal information and to fulfill its obligations to you under applicable privacy legislation. As a QuickClick customer, it is necessary for QuickClick to collect, use and disclose personal information about you. This includes information such as your Social Insurance Number, birth date, assets, and income. QuickClick collects, uses and discloses this information in order to determine your eligibility for any of QuickClick's products and/or services, to administer and enforce the provision of such products and/or services extended to you, to protect itself from error and fraud, to comply with legal requirements and as otherwise described in this policy and any agreements to which this policy applies, including the loan. Unless you otherwise advise, QuickClick will also use your personal information to provide you with information on QuickClick's products and/or services that QuickClick thinks may interest you.
QuickClick may share your personal information with its affiliates and their service providers solely for the purposes described here. QuickClick shall ensure that all such recipients of your personal information adhere to the requirements described in this policy.
Information Collection
QuickClick will collect your personal information from the following sources:
- Information received from you on loan applications, correspondence, e-mail and other communications;
- Information received from credit reporting agencies and public records, used to verify your identity, to assess creditworthiness, or to better understand your need for products or services;
- Information received from other lenders or financial institutions when, with your consent, the lender seeks to fulfill a request you made of them;
- Information that QuickClick may automatically collect and store from all website customers. This would include the name of the domain and host from which the customer accessed the Internet; the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer the customer is using to access an QuickClick website; the browser software the customer uses as well as the operating system; the date and time the customer accesses QuickClicks' websites; and the Internet address of the site from which the customer linked directly to QuickClicks' websites;
QuickClick will collect anonymous information from your interaction with QuickClick's website via "session cookies" to enhance the delivery of products, services, and information. A cookie is a small file that QuickClick transfers to customers' computer hard drives. Cookies also enable QuickClick to ensure that only a customer's web browser may exchange information regarding a customer's account with QuickClick servers. Session cookies are temporary files that are erased when customers close all web browsers. QuickClick does not use "persistent" cookies. These cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information. The QuickClick use of session cookies enables QuickClick website customers to avoid the problem of being asked to provide the same information repeatedly while customers move from page to page of a QuickClick website; Cookies are required to operate the "Your Accounts" feature. You can have your Web browser disable "cookies." If you turn off "cookies," it is not possible for QuickClick to offer you the Your Accounts service. Your Accounts provides online access to consolidated information about all of your accounts with QuickClick. In addition, QuickClick may track the aggregate number of e-mails read and whether any of the links in the e-mails were accessed.
Limitations on Disclosure
In connection with the use of your personal information as described in this policy, your personal information will be transferred outside of Canada, including to the United States, and will be subject to laws of local application in such jurisdictions. The safeguards described in this policy will be adhered to regardless of where your personal information is located. QuickClick does not sell, trade, or disclose personal information of its customers to any unauthorized third parties except as specifically described herein. QuickClick may be required to disclose your personal information with third parties as required by Federal or Provincial laws.
For instance, consumer credit reports will be reviewed by QuickClick's affiliate, Select Management Resources, LLC in the United States of America for the purposes of determining creditworthiness, and while in that country may be accessed by Federal and State authorities of the United States of America pursuant to local lawful access requests.

QuickClick wants to maintain complete and accurate information about its customers. You can always review your personal information, as discussed below. If you believe that QuickClick's records are incorrect or incomplete, please contact QuickClick's Privacy Office, using the contact information below, to correct any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.
QuickClick Security Policy
The security of a customers' personal information is very important to QuickClick and its employees must sign a privacy pledge acknowledging that that they are aware of QuickClick's policy regarding the use of and disclosure of customer information. Furthermore, QuickClick has implemented various security measures to protect its customers' personal information from loss, misuse, or alteration which are commensurate with the sensitivity of the personal information QuickClick collects. When customers send their personal identifying information to QuickClick via the QuickClick website, QuickClick requires that a secure session be established first, using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology supporting up to 128-bit encryption to prevent unauthorized persons from viewing any private information being transmitted during your application process. Information transmitted between the QuickClick server and your computer must be sent only while in a secure mode or QuickClick will have no responsibility for any loss or exposure of personally identifying information to unauthorized third parties. During a secure SSL session, data passed between the customer's computer and QuickClick servers are secured through the use of public key cryptography. The customer's computer exchanges key information with QuickClick servers to create a private conversation that only the customer's computer and QuickClick servers may understand. To benefit from SSL protection, customers must use a browser with SSL capabilities. This method of information transfer will apply when the customer is entering in personal information, execution of and submittal of the online promissory note, for validation and verification purposes during your communications through QuickClick's server and processing systems.
While using the QuickClick website, customers will be notified upon entering and leaving a secured session, unless the setting is turned off on the customers' browser. After leaving a secured session, information transmitted to QuickClick will not be secure. For security purposes, QuickClick uses special software programs to monitor web site traffic and to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise to cause damage to QuickClick websites. These programs do not collect personally identifying information about customers, but do enable QuickClick to collect information allowing QuickClick to identify website users attempting to tamper with QuickClick websites. QuickClick has policies in place against the misuse, misappropriation, unauthorized access, tampering, damage, destruction, or unlawful utilization of QuickClick websites and computer systems and will seek the maximum enforcement of provincial, federal, and international criminal and civil laws against any individual engaging in such activity. Please note that when customers send electronic mail messages (e-mail) to QuickClick, the customers' messages will contain the customers' return e-mail address. Thus, QuickClick may utilize customers' e-mail addresses in responding to customer inquiries and the content of customers' e-mail in formulating a response. QuickClick will permanently record and store any substantive e-mail received from its customers. Customer e-mail sent to QuickClick is not necessarily secure against interception. Do not initiate communication with QuickClick by email if your communication will include personal information like your Social Insurance Number, bank account number, or other personally identifying information that you wish to protect. Although QuickClick strives to protect and secure information submitted to it over the internet, your use of this website is strictly at your own risk. QuickClick makes no representations that it can guarantee the security of any information sent by the users of this website during an unsecured session. QuickClick protects the security of its servers but cannot be responsible for any virus, spy ware, ad ware, malicious codes and /or hacker activity that may result in damage to your computer or theft of your identifying information.
Additional Security Feature of Shared Secrets
Shared secrets are a security method for accessing confidential information. A shared secret is something known only to the user and the holder of the confidential information. Shared secrets usually consist of a user ID and password. These shared secrets allow the user to log into the site of the holder of confidential information such as a Credit Card issuer or financial institution. Shared secrets are necessary for a safe and dependable online authentication procedure. In order to minimize potential compromise of your shared secrets, you should create passwords that are a combination of both letters and numbers.
Information Retention Policy
QuickClick will maintain electronic and hardcopy loan application information for funded/closed/withdrawn and declined loans for a period of years in accordance with all mandated Federal and Provincial Laws before destroying such information in accordance with relevant law.
Your Access to Your Information
You are entitled to request copies of the personal information which QuickClick has collected, while such information is being retained, as discussed. If you would like to receive copies of any such information, you must notify QuickClick with your request so that the proper authentication and forwarding information can be verified.
